Paul Simmons has been in the security/law enforcement industry for 35 years. He has worked as a police officer in the UK, State Security Manager for the retail giant K mart and in the private security industry as an equal partner in Perth Security Services.
In 2005, MCS Security was born and clients that had previously used Paul’s service had no hesitation in putting their current security service requirements in the hands of MCS, again a testament of the professionalism of the business.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark is a member of the institute of Charted Accountants in Australia with over 20 years of experience in Australia and the United Kingdom. Mark has held senior finance roles with FTI Consulting, National Australia Bank and KPMG
Covert Operations Manager
Nancy Scafidi has been in the security industry for 30 years. She has worked for Perth Security Services for many years. In 2001 Nancy was an equal partner and agent for S & S Store Coverts & Security Services, specialising in covert security. In 2015 Nancy joined MCS as the Covert Operations Manager for the covert division.
Business Development / Operations Manager
Jeff has nearly 20 years’ experience in the hospitality and events industry, starting as a venue manager and trainer for one of the UK’s largest hospitality companies before moving to Australia. Jeff has held roles as Operations Manager at WA’s major Stadia and more recently as an event operations and business development manager with MCS. During this time Jeff has performed key roles in the planning and frontline management of all major sporting events and concerts in the MCS portfolio. Jeff Holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Curtin University and is an Approved Manager (Licensed Premises) as well as a Cert III licensed security officer, crowd controller and CPP officer.
Health, Safety & Quality Manager
Joe Askander is the Health, Safety & Quality Manager for MCS Security Group. Joe holds a Master of Science in HSE and has over 12 years practical experience working in Australia and overseas in the industry. Joe specialises in HSEQ system management and implementation across a vast number of industries including mining, construction and retail
Training & Development / Operations Manager
Gael works at MCS as our in house training and development manager and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Gael has over 35 years of practical experience in all aspects of the security industry including mobile patrols, alarm monitoring, static, cash in transit, personal security, events, shopping centres, hospitals, airports, training and operations. Gael has held a Senior First Aid Qualification for over 42 years.
