I extend compliments from the Western Australia Police Force, Dignitary Protection Unit and thank you for your assistance with the visit by the Honourable Mark McGowan MLA, Premier of Western Australia and his family to the Optus Stadium, Big Bash League semi-final held on Thursday, 1 February 2018 between the Perth ‘Scorches’ and Hobart ‘Hurricanes’.
Your professionalism and willingness to assist our protection team was greatly appreciated. Your contribution was a significant factor in helping us accomplish our goal, making the Premier and his family experience a safe and enjoyable major event.

I honestly couldn’t have done it without his help and he was so humble about it, he just got the job done and was more than happy to help out. This is the kind of team spirit we need to encourage so I have thanked him but I wanted to share this with you.

Officer Laura Bazan from WA Police station passed on her congratulations to all staff onsite with the search procedures and made special note of Beant and the control he took of the situation with ensuring any neighbouring locations (Youth Centre and Train Station transit guards) were contacted to keep an eye out for the girl and the continual radio calls to Guards and cleaners to have stairwells, BOH and toilets checked. The team as a whole conducted themselves in a professional manner while Beant had the situation running like it was straight from a text book for search procedures.
